May Institute has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Program Coordinator at the Florida Division who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of children diagnosed with autism or developmental disabilities.

The Assistant Program Coordinator provides individuals with developmental disabilities, in a
community-residential program, with support services designed to promote the
self-determination, independence, productivity, integration and inclusion in the community life of the individuals we serve.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:


  • Participating in the development of ISP objectives
    and documenting consumer progress.

  • Assisting individuals in meeting their personal care
    and nutritional needs.

  • Developing skills and community integration, which
    includes transport of consumers into the community and to regularly
    scheduled appointments.

  • Executing behavioral interventions when needed.

  • Dispensing medications to consumers.

  • Documentation of daily activities and incidents.

  • Ensuring training and behavior program execution and
    documentation is completed.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED required, some college
    preferred.

  • Previous behavioral experience preferred.

  • Previous human services experience preferred.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and at least 2 years driving required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
