Mountain River Physical Therapy is hiring!   We are currently hiring and have a Full-Time opening for a Physical Therapy Assistant in our Wheeling, West Virginia outpatient clinic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve functional activities.


• Timely documentation


• Observes patients during treatments and compiles and evaluates data on patients’ responses to treatment and progress and reports orally or in writing to Physical Therapist.


• Fits patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.


• Confers with members of physical therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.


• Gives orientation to new Physical Therapist Assistants and directs and gives instructions to Physical Therapy Technicians

 

Requirements:

• Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, licensed or eligible and willing to get licensure in West Virginia


• One or more years of licensed outpatient orthopedic experience


• Strong manual therapy skills


• Desire to be a part of team that emphasizes a service-based culture of excellence and life-long learning
