Human Resource Generalist - Field Operations at Chubb

Job Description:

The Human Resource Generalist (HRG) is responsible for partnering with the business in the execution of HR activities required to support business goals. This role supports Chubb’s North America Operations unit as well as Field Operations team. The selected individual will be responsible for HR analysis as well as generalist support to assigned client groups (including employee relations, performance and talent management, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, retention). Dually reports to the North America Operations Sr HR Business Partner and North America Field Operations Sr HR Business Partner.

Scope/Responsibilities


  • Establishes strong and effective client relationships with business leaders and staff within assigned units.

  • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, talent management system, exit interviews, employment records, and other sources.

  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, engagement, turnover, etc.

  • Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings.

  • Provide consultation and support to managers on activities including performance management, employee relations issues and termination process when appropriate.

  • Guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.

  • Actively participate in the roll-out of HR programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Work with HR leadership to drive and influence cultural and organizational change.

  • Ensure administrative activities are performer efficiently and accurately to meet service expectations.

  • Supports recruiting efforts for open positions, which can include sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding.

  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.


  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a human resources role

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of functional areas within HR including recruiting, benefits, employment, employee development and compensation

  • Employee relations experience preferred

  • Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and information systems

  • Experience in completing analysis and presenting findings and recommendations

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Ability to work autonomously in a results-oriented environment

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle difficult situations independently

  • General understanding of employment law

  • High level of multitasking skills and ability to perform and deliver under pressure

  • High level of professionalism and ethics

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Professional presence and effective collaboration skills
