Job Description:

Medline Industries continues to grow, and grow, and grow. In fact, we have experience DOUBLE DIGIT growth for 53 of the past 54 years. In addition, that growth has enabled us to add a Business and Analyst to our Information Services BI team at our Mundelein, IL office. (We are currently working remote due to Covid-19, but this position will be located in Mundelein once we return to the office).

Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for project planning, execution, and implementation of changes to reporting solutions as well as ensuring accurate and timely data solutions delivery to business partners. To be successful in the role, you need strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence across business functions and manage stakeholders' expectations effectively. You will work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable in working with multiple business and technical teams.

Major Responsibilities

Responsible for working closely with the team and business sponsors to understand business requirements and drive the design and delivery of quality technical solutions.

Responsible for project management of large BI solution projects/initiatives including scope, budget and timeline management.

Responsible for defining acceptance criteria with business liaisons. Supporting business users during acceptance testing, production migration, and post go-live support.

Involved in reviewing BI enhancements during all project phases - requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation, and issue resolution.

Possess an in-depth understanding of the business function/process supported, and also be viewed as a credible representative of that business function/process

Working closely with the team to ensure on-time delivery of quality solutions with minimal rework.

Responsible for solutions effort estimation and making decisions regarding resource allocations.

Responsible for driving continuous improvement within the team processes and deliverables.

Responsible for working closely with the manager to prioritize business issues and new initiatives, and set the team direction.

Influence business leadership and management decisions and drive ownership and acceptance of changes to the business.

Responsible for product ownership and working with business partners for improvements to drive business.

Develops and documents use cases when necessary.

Assist with QA testing when necessary.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; or equivalent work experience.

Requirements:

3 years of experience working with design/development teams through full development lifecycle.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with SOAP, RESTful APIs, Micro services, JSON, XML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax.

Experience in application development using No-Code, Low-Code platform is preferable.

Experience with low/no code, data analysis, data visualization and reporting & analytics

Strong understanding of project management life cycle and system development life cycle, project management methodologies, and procedures, including Agile.

Experience working with offshore teams

Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills

Proficient in JIRA, MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) software

Demonstrates collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team

Ability to work with and influence peers and management

Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate business processes or concepts into technical requirements are essential.

Ability to test and document end-to-end processes.
