To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Supervisor located in Minnesota Northfield.

Quality Supervisor role involves…

Developing, modifying, and executing company policies, which affect immediate operation(s) and may also have organization-wide effect. Makes independent decisions for the function. Decisions of significance may be subject to review by senior management. Limited precedent or guidance is available through only broad policy. Decisions affect multiple departments and functions.

What a typical day looks like:


  • Assigns employees to maximize quality control objectives. 

  • Prepares Statistical Process Control Charts. 

  • Quality Assurance Inspection

  • Supervision of hourly employees, preferably in a Union environment.

  • Quality Assurance concepts, including internal auditing.

  • Quality inspection experience, to include the use of micrometers, calipers, and other metrology tools.

  • Document Management System experience, to include document review and revision control, document workflow management, and report generation.

  • Analyzes data and puts corrective actions into place. 

  • Reviews quality reports. 

  • Performs ESD and ISO audits. 

  • Ensures procedures are followed and may develop procedures for the quality assurance inspection operation. 


  • Provides immediate supervision to inspectors, checking work at frequent intervals. 

  • Frequently interacts with outside customers, vendors, and functional peer groups at various

  • management levels and serves as a liaison between customer and the division regarding quality issues.

  • Directs daily department activities.

  • Impacts long-term (annual) operational success of the function.

  • Executes functional strategic plans and objectives for the organization.

  • Demonstrates commitment to implement initiatives. Responsible for creating and identifying processes and provides critical input to strategic plans/objectives

  • Confers with management and production to determine support quality goals

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • Meet with the QC Inspectors to review their schedules, workload, and barriers to success.

  • Review the internal audit schedule, audit assignments, and audit actions, reporting to senior

  • QA management to ensure compliance with internal procedures and QMS standard requirements.

  • Review corrective actions, RMA’s, document approvals and training records in the Document Management System.

  • Manage QC Inspector training and competency.

  • Participate in Lean improvement projects

  • Provides direction to teams according to established policies and objectives. Demonstrates skills in teaching/leading and/or mentoring.

  • Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.

  • Demonstrates detailed expertise in complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas.

  • understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.

  • Must be able lead and direct projects and business initiatives.

  • Financial, analytical, and statistical skills to resolve complex and conflicting objectives.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
