Help engage the workforce through daily floor walks, timely response to employee questions, maintaining the Reward and Recognition board, planning celebrations, etc.
Help grow people. Assist the HR Manager and Supervisors with strategies and tactics that help people to grow. We want this to be a career for people, not just a job.
Manage the attendance policy/process.
Help prepare and interpret metrics that enable informed decision-making and value creation. This would include analysis and plans related to turnover, compensation, onboarding, morale, etc.
The Type of Person We’re Looking For:

Pay attention to the details in mundane, administrative tasks. (There is a heavy administrative component to the job and a strong attention to detail is a MUST.)
Exercise judgement – know when to go fast, and know when to slow down; know when to escalate a problem, and know when to handle it directly; etc.
Use data to help drive continuous improvement. (Will need to know and/or have a willingness to learn MS Excel.)
A LEARNER. Have a genuine desire to unlearn, relearn, and acquire new skills.
Prior related / transferrable experience. While our ideal candidate would have HR experience in manufacturing, we are very open to alternatives – a few examples:
Assistant Manager within the restaurant, retail, rental car, or hospitality areas.
Production Lead or Supervisor, who aspires to be a Plant Manager one day and wants to learn Human Resources.
A teacher.
Humble and teachable, hard worker (efforts counts 2x!), self-motivated.
While experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, a Bachelor’s degree is typically a requirement for this role. Education specific to business administration, human resources, marketing, journalism, math, accounting/finance, or economics is preferred.
