This person would be responsible for obtaining the most cost effective arrangements for products/services using market research and negotiation skills, supplier selection and supplier performance monitoring.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manages sourcing projects from suppliers independently.
Negotiates pricing and delivery and develops underperforming suppliers as required.
Manages annual standard cost roll for assigned suppliers and understands business conditions driving cost changes.
Independently secures negotiated contracts with suppliers to ensure Manitowoc IP and business initiatives are protected.
Review and evaluate supplier performance in terms of price, on time delivery, lead time and quality.
Review technical documents including drawings, specifications. Capable to translate and resolve conflict with suppliers
Must be willing to spend significant time at suppliers sites to focus of project deliverables. And quarterly audits after production implementation
JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Engineering or 8 years of closely related experience.
Experience with ERP system (Baan) Purchasing, MRP planning & Inventory; EPMX quote system
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel required.
This position will be located in a fast-paced office environment with exposure to the manufacturing shop floor and product test environments as required.
