Job Summary: 

If you are a Digital Product Manager professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Stafford, TX location, you will be the Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) subject matter expert in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Digital Solutions and Smart Technologies. You will have the responsibility for assessing market needs, the development of product plans and specifications, and the coordination of significant product activities throughout the lifecycle.
 

AS A DIGITAL PRODUCT MANAGER, YOU WILL: 


  • Recommend and influence build, buy, or partner decisions for current product portfolio and future opportunities by analyzing balance between required investment and revenue potential.

  • Develop and maintain roadmap programs for assigned product line. Clearly indicate critical needs over multiple time horizons.

  • Act as the liaison between regional marketing / business development and global engineering in support of new product development activities.

  • Utilize product and market knowledge to create marketing collateral content and sales training tools.

  • Act as subject matter expert to support technical and sales teams during development and deployment processes.

  • Provide technical consultative support on digital transformation pursuits.

  • Facilitate Refinement sessions across all stakeholders to achieve clear understanding of business requirements and assist with evaluation and testing of new products.

  • Support marketing events with demo set up and work with industry for site trials on targeted applications.

  • Communicate and execute product strategies through a partnering with internal and external key stakeholders.

  • Set global list pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals whilst keeping in line with global product strategies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Mechatronics Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience leading “smart” technologies for business customers

  • Expert on digital technologies and IIoT connected devices related to data acquisition, transmission, storage, security, device control, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical information to a wide range of audiences

  • Experience with marketing, sales, project (design, implementation, commissioning, startup and maintenance), or equivalent experience in the process automation space

  • Understanding of instrumentation, process control and industrial network technologies

  • Ability to Travel Domestically and Internationally (10%-20%)

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  


  • Familiarity with engineered solutions, software, or wireless technology in the process industry 

  • Working with customers and applications in the industrial automation market

  • Knowledge of ASME, API, and specific piping industry codes and standards

  • Familiarity with any of the following industrial protocols: Industrial HART, Ethernet/IP, Modbus/TCP and/or ProfiNET

  • Experience with process piping, flow metering, control valves, flow controllers, pressure regulation, pressure instrumentation, pumps, valves and fittings within the process control industry 

  • Working between tech stacks that include hardware and firmware

  •  Working with Industrial software platforms, such as PlantWeb, Factory Talk, or S7
