If you are a Materials Supervisor professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Stafford, TX location, you will be responsible for leading the receiving, warehouse, cycle counting and inventory movement operations while building a safety and quality focused culture.
 

AS A MATERIALS SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL: 

• Coach and develop leads for growth to Emerson core values, expectations and individual career goals


• Supervise the workplace performance of assigned warehouse associates, including scheduling of hours


• Drive safety culture to proactively identify and reduce safety risks, including using Velocity


• Advance inventory best practices for FIFO and 97% or greater inventory accuracy levels with Inventory Manager


• Reduce lead times and improve accuracy from delivery of supplier materials to available for use cycle


• Maximize pull systems including supermarkets and line side inventory to minimize replenishment cycle lead times


• Establish KPI’s at all levels of material operations organization for accountability


• Lead in cycle count audits, daily gembas, staff meetings, operations reviews, and safety discussions


• Execute E&O scrap events in partnership with Inventory Manager

You partner with others to get work done.  You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization.  You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.  You separate and combine activities into efficient workflows.  You create and implement plans that allocate resources precisely.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution and/or technical related discipline


• Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehousing, supply chain or similar field


• Minimum 3 years’ experience in supervisory/ management role


• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment

• Experience in SAP
