Metrics Reporting Analyst at Chubb

Primary Accountabilities:


  • Design and develop dashboards in support of leadership and line of business leader needs and analyze results in support of key metrics.

  • Leverage automation and technology to ensure efficient and accurate metric reporting and data quality controls.

  • Conducts accurate and timely business analysis and reporting to support and drive business decisions using statistical modeling and other business analysis tools.

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to define key financial and operational metrics to continuously monitor, track, and report performance.

  • Maintains various models used to project business results; enhances the model where there is business value in adjusting the models.

  • Ensures analysis and reporting accuracy and integrity.

  • Assist business areas in linking operating budget to business plan and adjusts expense estimates/forecasts in support of changes in the plan

  • Develop business trend analysis, monitor key operating metrics and communicate those results to management

  • Translate needs of customers into reporting solutions, with minimal guidance from manager

  • Provides operational and ad hoc information as well as customized reports for specific audiences

  • Assist in or Drive the development of an annual operating budget, quarterly forecasts and ongoing expense management for assigned business areas

  • Accountable for performing in-depth analysis of complex operating or expense information

  • Work closely with management to identify, prioritize and execute plans to improve the efficiency of metrics and reporting.

  • Responsible for developing and running weekly, monthly and annual reports

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

 


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience required

  • 4 - 6 years’ experience with budgeting, financial analysis and performance measurement reporting required and/or advanced degree (MBA)

  • Ability to work with management teams to translate high-level business plans into action steps and reporting solutions

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to prioritize work under the pressure of deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work/communicate with all levels of management

  • Proficient in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word

  • Qlik/Tableau user skills preferred but not required

  • Ability to utilize data mining/query tools and techniques

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrate solid leadership skills in building enterprise value as an indispensable business partner

  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing software tools to query and report data.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to build complex formulas and create reports.

  • Solid knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance-related financial concepts.

  • Experience communicating metrics to peers and leadership.

  • Ability to understand the needs of the audience and their knowledge on the topics.


  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.

  • Ability to identify and present information in the most effective format for the audience.

  • Locates, acquires, manipulates and transforms, and analyzes data from various data sources, requiring the use of querying, reporting and presentation tools.

  • Collaborates with business partners to incorporate necessary data and analysis outside the scope of the division as necessary.
