JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for maintaining, stocking, and organizing the supply inventory for a two-shift box shop, warehouse, personal protective equipment supplies and maintenance/engineering departments of a food processing facility harvesting over 20500 animals per day.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Receives, stores, displays, and issues mechanical parts/PPE/supplies according to operational needs


• Maintains inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory, observing inventory levels, prompting management to reorder when levels appear low, and arranging for return and credit for damaged products.


• Assists with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of supplies


• Ability to interact and maintain positive rapport with a diverse workforce


• Performs data entry, clerical tasks and administrative paperwork to ensure department maintains a high level of accountability for inventory


• Inspects, checks, and verifies incoming supplies are in good condition and meet quality specifications

• Communicates effectively and collaborates with department leadership to ensure the position provides a high level of customer service


• Adheres to all Company food and workplace safety policies to safeguard the workplace and welling being of all employees

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum high school diploma or GED. Some college or vocational courses preferred


• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, advance Excel skills or similar application and MRP system experience preferred


• Must be able to operate and maintain a forklift certification


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English required, bi-lingual a plus.
