Position Summary:
The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Lead reports to the Team Manager/Inpatient
Supervisor. In collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), the CNA Lead is
responsible for providing patient care, support and education to terminally ill patients and
their family members, and will act as a leader, resource and preceptor to fellow CNAs in
accordance with agency policies.
CNA Lead Functions:
Mentoring newly hired CNA's, which may include but is not limited to acting as a
preceptor, providing education on documentation, agency defined skills and home
health/hospice philosophy; facilitating and assisting in skills check -offs and orienting to
supply processes.
Acts as a resource and support for CNA questions and concerns.
Assist with team meetings, skills fairs and ongoing education.
Assist with scheduling needs to cover vacations, holiday or staffing vacancies.
Other duties as assigned.
