Job Summary:

Full time medical writer to support the development of educational and informational content (primarily articles and slide decks) in the area of myopia management to advance CooperVision’s leadership position.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:


  • Develop medical education content for live, print, digital, and web-based activities

  • Develop and maintain knowledge in myopia management

  • Ensure content adheres to AMA style guidelines as appropriate

  • Meet all deadlines

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Outstanding research and writing skills

  • Experience writing for eye care industry, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • Superior writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Demonstrates curiosity in myopia

  • Able to form and communicate a complete and succinct group of messages appropriate to project objectives

  • Ability to incorporate data, visuals, and narrative appropriately into a compelling story to support the project objectives

  • Excellent time-management skills to deliver assignments in a fast-paced, highly deadline-driven environment

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with internal team

  • Excellent computer skills, including readiness to work remotely, and a high degree of proficiency using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint – can be trained on Prezi and Smartsheet as needed

Work Environment:


  • Prolonged sitting in front of a computer

Experience:


  • Must have at least two years of experience as a professional medical/scientific writer

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Educational background in life sciences, public health, clinical sciences preferred

  • Eye care certifications preferred but not required
