**Overview**
The **Hospital Services Nurse Manager** leads our acute dialysis unit in performing high quality patient care while collaborating with physicians and hospital staff to enhance partnerships for our local Hospital Services Program.
**Responsibilities**
+ Serves as DCI liaison with Hospital Administration, in collaboration with DCI Operations Directors.
+ Supervises all nursing activities to ensure that patient care is carried out as directed.
+ Collaborates with our local DCI Educator to deploy training and continuing education for all staff members.
+ Serves as a mentor to the Hospital Services staff.
+ Oversees documentation of nursing care provided, including medication and dialysis adjustments.
+ Collaborates with Chief Equipment Technician concerning the maintenance of all dialysis equipment and water treatment practices per industry standards.
+ Serves as the primary contact to the Medical Director, openly communicates with all nephrologists regarding the services and care provided.
+ Evaluates patient care delivered and makes recommendations to physicians.
+ Collaborates with hospital discharge planners, case managers and outpatient dialysis units to ensure smooth transfers to the next level of care.
+ Accountable for the general nursing budget, makes recommendations regarding equipment and supplies needed.
+ Maintains working knowledge of industry standards related to renal replacement therapy in the hospital setting, including ESRD and AKI concepts/principles, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
+ Actively participates in the DCI Risk Management and QAPI programs, including required audits and regular attendance at DCI QAPI and Governing Body meetings.
+ Participates in the hospital Quality Management and Infection Control departments by providing requested information and attending meetings with hospital liaison.
**Qualifications**
+ A degree from an accredited Registered Nursing Program is required.
+ Minimum 6 months dialysis experience required, twelve months preferred
+ Previous experience in critical care nursing preferred.
+ Supervisory experience preferred.
+ Must be able to obtain a current Registered Nursing license in the applicable state.
