Our Student Nurse Extern program provides you with the opportunity to gain supervised, hands-on working experience while still in nursing school!

Your day.

As a Student Nurse Extern you need to know how to:


Complete various assigned projects in a timely manner.

Assist co-workers in completing their duties to promote effective teamwork.

Under direct supervision of preceptor RN, provide basic nursing care to assigned patients.

Attend all educational programming required for Nursing Students.

Successfully complete Nursing Student competencies.

Utilize computer system as needed for information, communication and to complete report writing.

Maintain efficient flow of information while maintaining confidentiality.

Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with nursing, staff, and other patient care members and co-workers.

Current Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) program student in your 3rd or 4th semester, required

Successful completion of your first two (2) years of Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) program, required

Prior experience in the healthcare industry, preferred
