JOB SUMMARY
The Assembler/Tester II is responsible for assembly and test of valves

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Safety champion for area of responsibility.
2. Assembler must continuously inspect while building.
3. Follows specific assembly and test methods and standards.
4. Must be able to work to test specifications and codes.
5. Constant watch of stand gages and pressure is a must.
6. Troubleshoot and rework as required.
7. Must be able to interpret assembly drawings and instructions.
8. Rotates through the assembly function as required.
9. May be required to do boxing or operate marking equipment.
10. May be required to document test results for certification
11. Using hand tools, gages, inspects, drills arbor press, and some power torque instruments.
12. Sometimes work with engineering and/or sales on prototype assembly.
13. Required to train others as needed.
14. Assist tester in troubleshooting.
15. Repair various parts and sub-assemblies. Also repair customer returns as needed.
16. Must package and label finished assemblies and transport to ship area and maintain proper records.
17. Organize work in advance to ensure valves requiring multiple assemblies are completed in a timely manner.
18. Use pick list, schematics, CRT and blue prints to assemble multicomplex valves.
19. Some electrical assembly may be required.
20. Day by hour boards are to be completed as required.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* High School diploma or equivalent
* Excellent attendance record.
* Consistently meets or exceeds commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding required.
* Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills required.
* Ability to identify differences and inconsistencies in parts or operation (required)
* Ability to read blue prints (required)
* Has basic math skills including but not limited to decimals, fractions, use of calculator (required)
* Understanding work orders/Shop Packets
* Understanding of 5S process
