Summary

$500 Bonus after ninety days for all new employees

We are seeking an Industrial Electrician at our facility located at 951 Prisock Road in Byram, MS location. TheIndustrial Electrician performs a variety of functions such asequipment installations, repairs, or modification of equipment for generation,distribution, or utilization of electric energy in the manufacturing facility.Installs, modifies and maintains all plant buildings, machinery and equipment,
including mobile or road equipment and production machinery, in a good state ofelectrical and mechanical repair. This is a 2nd shift position, with a 5 dayson 3 days off schedule.

Qualifications


  • HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Minimum of 1 year as an Industrial Mechanic and/or
    Electrician

Responsibilities


  • Responsible for safely performingemergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructureand minimizing production time losses associated with the breakdown orfailure of production equipment

  • Responsible for the day-to-dayadministration of a preventative maintenance program designed to establishreliability of production equipment and infrastructure.

  • Effectively utilize manpower tocomplete repairs in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for the day-to-dayadministration of a work order system designed to establish priority andcontrol over maintenance request from production personnel.

  • Ensures that work order (Maintenance)requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for the safe and prudentuse of company equipment and tools. Also, ensures a safe work environmentby utilizing Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and reporting any unsafecondition.

  • Responsible for the inventory of maintenancesupplies.

  • Informs the Maintenance Supervisorwhen supplies have been removed from stock and require replenishment.

  • Provides ordering information forreplenishment of stock.

  • Responsible for utilizing the workorder system both in entering work orders and completing work orders, asdirected by the Maintenance Supervisor

  • Communicates daily with internalpersonnel from production and quality control in order to assist inresolving problems and achieving company goals

  • Responsible for follow-up review ofcompleted maintenance tasks to ensure that work is completed properly andin a safe and timely manner.

  • Responsible for development and reviewof standard operating procedures to govern the function performed bymaintenance personnel.

  • Ensures that all establishedmaintenance work areas are kept clean and safe including where repairs areperformed.

  • Responsible for understanding andcomplying with the fundamental principles associated with the quality andenvironmental management system in place.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability


  • Ability to read and comprehenddocuments including: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,procedure manuals and simple correspondence

  • Ability to communicate information insmall group situations to other employees

  • Ability to calculate figures andamounts such as fractions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

  • Ability to apply common senseunderstanding, to perform work instructions that are furnished in written,oral and/or diagram.

  • Ability to solve problems that involvemultiple variables in a standard situation.

  • Incumbent should be able to drive aforklift and use power tools

  • Working knowledge of 480V/120Velectrical systems, electric motors, contactor, and control circuits.


  • Ability to read blueprints and manualsTroubleshooting skills

  • Proficient with multi-meter andamprobe, have familiarity with PLC systems, hydraulic systems andcomponents, pneumatic systems and components, power transmissionsystems, piping systems and components.

  • Working knowledge of basic welding andfit-up

  • Basic machine set-up and alignment

  • Rigging and lifting skills

  • Willing to work mandatory overtime andoccasional Saturdays, when needed
