JOB SUMMARY
The Circular Economy and Scope 3 GHG Program Manager has subject matter expertise in lifecycle and scope 3 GHG management; and is responsible for driving circular economy and scope 3 GHG reduction projects throughout Jabil that require data analytics, metrics, work plans and relationship building internally and with customers, manufacturer/suppliers, and sustainability vendors.  Will assist with the development of global sustainable design procedures, building a sustainable component library to assist with the selection of lowest carbon and greatest recyclable materials, determining Jabil’s scope 3 GHG inventory & associated GHG reduction strategies and analyzing and promoting product end-of -life reuse and recycling opportunities. Provide full accountability for project budgets, schedules, project management, and performance requirements for enterprise level projects.

Provide management and guidance toward successful collaboration with multi-functional groups and direct project team responsible for global implementation of Jabil’s social responsibility strategies. Manage implementation and enhance Jabil’s global adoption and adherence to industry and customer-driven social responsibility requirements.

Provide single-point-of-contact to customer (internal & external) for Scope 3 activities. Provide full accountability for project budget, schedule and direct report staff if applicable. Support the development, management and delivery all Scope 3 and Circular Economy implementation requirements. This includes developing concise project plan w/ milestones that reflects Jabil’s business model and balances the multiple challenges these requirements present.

Manage key alignment with Jabil supply chain SER efforts as strategic liaison to ensure Jabil global supply chain are a partner in accepting those requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead as Global Subject Matter Expert in Scope 3 management, Circular economy and life cycle management; sustainable product design and end-of-life product recycling and position Jabil as a competent partner for these areas with customers and suppliers.

Technical Requirements:


  • Support programs that promote source reduction, reuse, repair, and recycling


  • Work closely with procurement and other teams for applicable scope 3 GHG determinations and reduction & tracking strategies


  • Coach, mentor, and provide training to relevant teams and create a learning environment


  • Responsible for ensuring all of the project requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood and properly translated for execution.


  • Build team(s) to address the project goals and objectives for multiple and/or enterprise level projects.


  • Collaborate with customer (internal or external) from requirements gathering through product acceptance.


  • Align the program team to customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives based on input from all functional areas and stakeholders within the enterprise project.


  • Review project schedules with functional project managers and project coordinators allocated to projects.


  • Provide guidance and motivation to project teams to successfully achieve project goal and corporate initiatives


  • Communicate project objectives in terms of overall strategic business objectives.


  • Serve as interface with customers, vendors, stakeholders and project sponsor(s)


  • Devise creative solutions to critical customer and user needs.


  • Manage development of project plans with focus on achievement of project goals and corporate initiatives, including project


Specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) or metrics:


  • Responsible for recognizing project's Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and manage the work within scope, quality, time and cost constraints


  • Obtain and summarize current project information and milestone status versus project performance baseline


  • Drive project/program tasks to completion in accordance with the project schedule


  • Coordinate the efforts of the team to develop an integrated project plan and risk analysis with action plans to mitigate the risks


  • Management of Resource capacity and time tracking allocated to enterprise level project.


  • Financial Management and analysis of costs for enterprise level projects and programs including Capital Expenditures Requests (CER’s) travel, training, resources allocation and other project related costs; manage PO’s and invoice payments.


  • Responsible for forecasting project budget and HR needs for current and future site needs


  • Accountable for overall project success - including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management.


  • Balance the cost, schedule and time frames against the enterprise level project requirements


  • Report project status, issues and implemented solutions as well as evaluations and assessments of the results


  • Provide leaders with updates, including greatest opportunities for improvement


  • Recognize potential problem areas against the plan and identify and implement alternative solutions


  • Identify best cost solutions to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).


  • Provide key stakeholders with regular project performance status, variances to plan, and identification of corrective actions (if required).


  • Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department and with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the company


  • Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management


  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer issues a priority


  • Coach others through difficult decision making situations


  • Design and facilitate training related to implementation of enterprise initiatives ·


  • Engage and collaborate with customers within Jabil to obtain greater understanding of and evaluate


  • Drive relevant, concise and effective communication through a variety of mediums ·


  • Design clear and consistent messages for a variety of diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness of delivery


  • Working closely with communications, stakeholders , and management to stay informed of important company information to evaluate and measure program effectiveness and impact on the business


  • Will require before and after regular work hours meetings to accommodate various global time zones


  • Travel will be required


  • Comply with the company Environmental, Health & Safety and security policies and procedures.


  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Key Requirements:


  • Understanding Design standards , procedures , systems and work methodologies


  • Understanding of product end-of-life circular economy management


  • Understanding and application of broad range of materials and their physical and chemical properties relevant systems and technology


  • Knowledge of the international Greenhouse Gas Protocols


  • Understanding of Carbon Impact Assessments and LCAs


  • Understanding of Jabil’s global sustainability strategies and direction


  • Proven record of accomplishment of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous improvements and cost reduction programs


  • Strong communication skills


  • Ability to work under pressure and able to do conflict management


  • Advanced PC skills including knowledge of Jabil's software packages


  • Proficient Verbal and Written English Skill


  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety standards & requirements


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in physical/natural sciences or business


  • MBA or masters level degree (sustainability or environmental-related programs preferred but not required)


  • At least 8 years of relative experience required


  • Experience with sustainable design, reverse and service logistics, remanufacturing, electronics recycling, tools and systems definition and implementation, strongly beneficial, as well as working with and addressing external partners


  • Lean Silver Certificate or Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred.


  • PMP Certification Preferred


  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project skills required.
