Job Summary:

Perform analysis, design, development, deployment and evaluation of Akima’s training framework programs for the enterprise training & development function. Ensure employees utilize the resources to support their professional and career development, as well as add value to the achievement of our company business goals. Overall responsibilities include:


  • Develop and maintain the training content for Akima’s Training Framework Programs. 

  • Deploy the training content including user navigation in the learning management system (LMS).

  • Monitor & report evaluations, usage and metrics of Akima’s Training Framework Programs.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Create and maintain the content and navigation within the Moodle LMS to include program deployment, enrollments, cohorts, reporting, etc.

  • Lead the deployment and maintenance of companies’ mandatory regulatory compliance training to include topics such as: Timekeeping, Code of Conduct, Discrimination and Harassment, etc.

  • Partner with internal subject matter experts and vendors on training design, development, delivery, evaluation and maintenance of the Akima Framework Programs. 

  • Design and develop training materials for live classroom and primarily self-study formats, e.g., slides, job aids, user guides, tutorials, etc.

  • Compile and analyze post-course evaluations, progress reports and completion metrics reports tied to tuition reimbursements, cohort participation, vendor license usage, etc.

  • Prepare course materials for web access and when needed live classroom instruction. Provide support tied to cohort programs and other training events.

 

Minimum Qualifications:


  • BA or BS degree in Human Resources Development, Human Resources, Education or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience (training experience preferred).

  • Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory, principles and methods.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

  • Experience with a cloud-based software-as-a service (SaaS), e.g., LMS and web-based delivery

  • Experience with SharePoint, One Drive and Teams.

  • Adapt quickly to changing needs and priorities.

  • Strong consulting, problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Attention to detail for ensuring accuracy of the information being captured/analyzed.

  • Organizational skills for handling multiple assignments concurrently and professionally. 

  • Interpersonal skills. Communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Customer service skills for working with employees at all levels within the organization.

Desired:


  • Experience working with training vendors and review of vendor products/services.

  • Knowledge or Experience with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline).

  • Knowledge or Experience with editing tools (e.g., Camtasia).
