THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trust & Estates Counsel with at least 10 years of experience.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Our Trusts & Estates attorneys marshal the resources of Seyfarth's full-service platform-including our tax, real estate, corporate and securities, and insurance groups-while providing the personal attention that is more typical of an estate-planning boutique.

Beyond a thorough knowledge of tax and family law, our team is adept at navigating complex, sensitive family dynamics, as well as the conflicts and emotions that often accompany them. In fact, our Trusts & Estates attorneys often represent several generations within the same family-a testament to the effectiveness of our counsel, our long-term commitment to clients, and the loyalty these deep relationships engender.


YOU HAVE: At least 10 years of experience in trust and estate planning, administration and litigation including:


  • Will and trust preparation


  • Providing counsel on avoiding probate, protecting assets from creditors and minimizing tax ramifications when transferring wealth

  • Trust administration

  • Valuing assets

  • "Decanting" of trusts and jurisdiction changes

  • Counseling on tax-effective methods of charitable giving

  • Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communications skills

  • Admission to the State Bar of CA
