Water/Wastewater CAD Designer

Dewberry is seeking a Water/Wastewater CAD Designer in our Denver, CO, office to assist with a wide range of challenging water and wastewater projects. Responsibilities

    Prepare plans, sections, and detailed mechanical layout drawings for an array of water and wastewater projects for municipal and private-sector clients;
  • Assist in the production of contract drawing submittals while interfacing and coordinating with various engineering disciplines, technicians, and other design specialists;

  • Assist with review and coordination of technical specifications;

  • Conduct QA/QC and constructability reviews of other projects;

  • Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of CAD standards across the Water Service Line;

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Required Skills & Required Experience


  • High School Diploma

  • Completion of Engineering Technology Associate's or 4-year degree in an engineering field of study is preferred;

  • A minimum of five (5) years of design experience on water and wastewater projects;

  • Demonstrated ability with current versions AutoCADD, and AutoCADD-3D; Plant-3D, or RevIt;

  • Ability to create layouts from process schematics and instrumentation diagrams with minimal oversight;

  • Ability to apply theories, principles, concepts and practices of civil and environmental engineering to the design and construction of water and wastewater pipeline, pumping, and treatment infrastructure;

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be a self-starter who is detail-oriented with experience collaborating across engineering disciplines.

The projected range for this position is $60,000-$85,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
