Astra is looking for a talented Senior Software Developer that thrives as part of a high-performance team responsible for building highly scalable solutions for Kubernetes Application Data Management. You will design, develop and test managed services to be deployed as containers in Kubernetes and work with various public and private cloud providers.
You are primarily responsible for the architecture, design, development, delivery, and support of everything that we bring to market. No problem is beneath you, and you are always willing to learn and take on new challenges. As a technical lead, you will mentor other engineers and collaborate closely with other teams. You have an established track record of designing and delivering large, complex systems with minimal supervision.
Deep understanding of cloud technologies, containers, orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.
Strong programming skills in Go (or other system-level languages)
REST API design and implementation
Agile software development practices
Experience in software design and development and a strong understanding of complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices
Linux or other Unix-like Operating Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Programming in Python
Experience with working in any of the public cloud providers like AWS, Azure or GCP
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and demonstrate strong influencing and leadership skills
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies

Education:
Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field.
