Overview

Colliers Engineering & Desing seeks an entry level engineer to join our Municipal Engineering Group.

Colliers Engineering & Desing professionals provide Municipal Engineering services to a wide variety of clients that include local and county government, state agencies, land developers; local, state, and federal governmental agencies; and utility companies. Our firm is a regional leader in the design, permitting, and construction administration of infrastructure projects, roads, drainage, utilities, buildings, pump stations, energy efficient designs, etc. One of our biggest advantages is the collective expertise of our multi-disciplined municipal team that enables us to provide complete project engineering in-house, under one umbrella, through our municipal engineers, permitting specialists, surveyors, and scientists. Together, we make every effort to ensure that each project and goal will be met in the most efficient and cost effective way possible.

Responsibilities

* Review of subdivision plans and site plans submitted by developers for approval.
* Word processing, spreadsheet expertise, report writing, writing specifications.
* Technical assistance in design phase of project, including geometric designs, grading, hydrology & utilities
* Technical assistance of infrastructure projects that are in construction to verify compliance with the approved plans.
* Technical design and CAD support for capital improvement projects.
* Field investigations & inspection services
* Ability to work with clients and represent the company
* Evaluation of public works issues in our municipalities.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
* 0-5 years of municipal/residential and/or commercial site design.
* EIT preferred.
* Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D Preferred.
* Knowledge of the planning and zoning process.
* Effective written and communication skills.
* Ability to work in the field
* Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
