The VP of Product Management will lead the evolution of our assortment of existing and new products. We are seeking an experienced HVAC Product Management candidate to lead a team of product managers responsible for understanding, defining, and prioritizing the future of our products to support our business growth plan. It involves working closely with various teams across the organization, including technology, project management, customer service, business operations, and marketing, while keeping CE's products aligned to customer needs, differentiated, and cutting edge. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, this role presents an ideal opportunity for someone to influence CE's strategic vision and impact the company's future success. This role will sit in either Houston or Dallas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively manage a team of product managers responsible for CE's business product strategy, assortment, product analytics and product success across sales of $500 million plus
Create strategic plans for enhancing our products, strengthening our competitive edge and promoting company growth
Responsible for building a data-driven and KPI-based culture that defines the success of our product assortment with measurable goals
Provide market summaries including trends, competitive landscape and regulatory updates
Lead activity to identify and provide for competitive products including new product opportunities and ranges for the marketplace
Spearhead the planning and execution of product promotion and pricing
Ensure that CE's product assortment follows a cohesive vision that resonates with our target customers' expectations and provides a vehicle for sales and margin growth
Analyzes North American HVAC market trends and potential new product to enhance CE's current product assortment
Lead product demos, product presentations at events, and product reviews
Review and coordinate product marketing positioning, marketing product content, and product communications

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree Required (Master's/MBA a plus)
7+ years' experience in a high-ranking HVAC or related Product Management position
Must have diverse experience in product marketing, product assortment planning, and new product introduction and the ability to leverage new product innovations
Strong computer skills are essential; computer proficiency with Microsoft applications, Salesforce experience a plus
Customer-oriented approach with the ability to coach employees and understand customer needs
3-5 years experience at a wholesale distributor, HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing industrials
Qualifications:
Proven experience leading a product team and building out the vision of product assortment for a company
Expert knowledge of the HVAC industry, products, services, technology, and distribution business models
Understanding of product strategy and its relationship to the Wholesale HVAC industry
Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion
Team player who can work flexible hours, travel is around 30%
Experience and familiarity with marketing and advertising
Exceptional leadership and managerial skills
