Your Charter

Under the Director, Data Management, support the Broad BITS Enterprise Data Management strategy and operations by maintaining, editing, creating and supporting current and future data warehouse needs for organization-wide functional areas such as Finance, HR, General Admin etc. This role will eventually transition to supporting an Enterprise Master Data Management System and Analytics function.

Technical Skills:


  • Coding



    • Expert level experience with SQL


    • Python


    • Experience with GitHub


    • Basic understanding of PHP, C#, and Visual Basics to translate legacy processes


    • Deep understanding of REST/SOAP APIs



General Tech Skills:


  • Basic understanding of database administration and best practices


  • Tableau Administration experience


  • Familiarity with MySQL, PostGRES, Google BigQuery, MongoDB, Oracle


Capabilities:


  • Demonstrates an understanding of how data sets can relate to business processes


  • Able to understand different data schemas, e.g. Star, Snowflake, etc.


  • Strong experience creating technical and end-user documentation


  • Technically curious and focused on iterative improvements


Data Integrity & Reporting:


  • Design and develop reports utilizing a variety of tools


  • Assist staff with creation of advanced queries to support their day to day responsibilities, as well as create adhoc reports, as required.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree, Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred


  • 3+ years of SQL Coding experience


  • 4+ years of experience as an Data Warehouse Analyst


  • Solid functional knowledge and understanding of IT processes and data, including workflows


Qualifications


  • Strong experience with database design, structure, functions and processes


  • Effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines


  • Work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment; communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of the organization


  • Creative approach to solving problems
