Technical Product Owner at Cotiviti

The TPO works with architects, engineers, business partners and internal customers to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met with each release. The TPO understands both the engineering and business side of the product release and is ultimately responsible for representing the business and end user's needs.



Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:



  • Conduct interviews and requirement workshops with a cross-discipline team to elicit understanding of business needs

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, and development team to drive a solution that meets the program level objectives and vision

  • Collaborate directly with engineering teams, Data Operations, Product, Business, and development teams in the creation and maintenance of requirements (Features and User Stories)

  • Perform gap analysis and highlight areas of challenges and convert those into opportunities.

  • Understand and document detailed features of software product(s).

  • Assess value, develop use cases, prioritize stories, epics and initiatives to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.

  • Define Acceptance Criteria for user stories, identify MVP features and support the development teams in building a working software

  • Refinement of program backlog and preparation/readiness for Program Increment Planning

  • Prioritize and maintain the team backlog

  • Acceptance of user stories completed at the end of each iteration/sprint

  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.

  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent

  • 6-8 years experience in business analysis experience.

  • 2-3 years of hands on experience Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Scrum Agile development.

  • Prior Healthcare industry experience desired

  • Experience with requirements gathering, prototyping, systems modeling, decision trees, data flow and user interface design

  • Expert use of analysis, documentation and presentation tools, such as Lucid Chart / Visio, JIRA, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.,

  • Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS, APIs

  • Very strong written skills showing the ability to convey functional details accurately in a well-structured and precise manner that describe end user problems and solutions

  • Proven problem-solving skills, is logical and analytical

  • Experience with systems modeling, user interface design, and prototyping, decision trees, data flow and user interface designs.

  • Excellent verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills; is a team player

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • May require occasional travel not to exceed 20%
