The Branch Development division at Edward Jones hires, trains, supports and develops the branch team to deliver the ideal client experience. As the key connection between branches and the home office, you’ll play a vital role in driving positive results in the core profit center of the firm and in gaining critical insights that shape our business. Here, you’ll help branch teams grow both their clients and their leadership skills, providing innovative thinking to continue evolving our training, development, recognition and rewards in ways that best engage our unique branches.

Branch Talent Acquisition Marketing

This team is responsible for attracting financial advisors and branch office support roles to Edward Jones. We create interest and nurture prospective associates to consider the opportunity and ultimately apply to the role.  We work closely with key stakeholders in the Branch Team Talent Acquisition area to ensure strategy, communication and tactics meet our short and long term growth objectives and enable Branches to serve clients and communities.

Responsibility Summary: 


  • Lead process to develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns that drive individuals to consider a career as a Financial Advisor or in a Branch Support team.

  • Responsible to apply the firm's vision and divisional business objectives when formulating the financial advisor and branch support team marketing plan to attract a flow of talent across the U.S.

  • Lead and collaborate with senior leaders in internal functional areas to set marketing objectives, key strategies, and outcome metrics.

  • Partner with agencies and vendors, articulate business and strategic needs, manage all paid media planning work and creative direction, as well as the day-to-day relationship

  • Provide approval at key tactical milestones of marketing campaigns:

    • Media: annual plan as well as needed changes to plan

    • Creative: ensure message and visual content is relevant to the target

    • Metrics: establish/track paid campaign metrics as part of overall measurement ecosystem

    • Evaluation: determine success/failure, apply learnings and present results to senior management



  • Develop and execute content strategy, consistent with firms' brand positioning, as well as the Talent Brand value proposition.

  • Determine spend allocation and manage marketing expenses, ensure costs stay within projected amounts

  • Lead and develop BTTA (Branch Team Talent Acquisition) Marketing associates.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field required. Master's in business strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility, leadership and strategic marketing; or 8+ years of marketing in the financial services industry, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to internal functional areas regarding marketing needs/activities.

  • Broad knowledge of marketing disciplines and ability to maximize knowledge and experience to accomplish the required outcome.

  • Ability to effectively manage and evaluate the products and services of external media buying agencies and vendors.

  • Ability to develop and follow processes to ensure efficient project/workflow management.

  • Demonstrated ability to create, and influence, compelling written and visual content across all mediums

  • Thorough knowledge of branding and talent objectives and positioning strategy of other firms.

  • Thorough understanding of the Financial Advisor and Branch office Administrator career opportunity. 

  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements regulating talent and financial services marketing.

  • Able to effectively present to all levels within the firm, including senior and executive management.  Demonstrates analytical skills in identifying metrics to determine success or impact of talent marketing programs.

  • Demonstrates strong financial analysis in establishing and evaluating KPIs, ROI, or other financial metrics in addition to experience managing budgets.

  • Working knowledge of social media and digital marketing tools (search, display, social, e-mail, etc.)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
