Summary of Job Scope and Expectations:

The Associate Facilities Manager is a one- to two-year training position to prepare for the Facilities Manager position. This position acquires and demonstrates the ability to plan and manage the repair and maintenance for 60 stores under the oversight of a Facilities Senior Manager, with increasing independence. This position searches, evaluates, and negotiates and contracts with regional vendors to provide preventative maintenance and needed repair services to assigned stores. The Associate Facilities Manager manages vendors' performance to ensure work meets quality requirements and is provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Descriptions

* Plans and manages the repair and maintenance for 60-100 stores within budget, ensuring all stores meet Panda facility standards, under the oversight of a Facilities Senior Manager, working with increasing independence.

* Searches, evaluates, and negotiates and contracts with regional vendors to provide preventative maintenance and needed repair services to assigned stores.

* Manages, grades, and tracks vendors' performance to ensure work meets quality requirements and is provided in a timely and cost effective manner.

* Implements maintenance and preventive maintenance programs that enable store managers to handle routine or urgent situations. Trains store managers on the programs and on working with vendors to control quality work and cost.

* Supports Risk Management's crisis management program by responding to emergencies, inspecting equipment and systems, and resolution problems.

* Uses the Service Channel tools and reports to manage vendor maintenance and repair costs.

* All assigned stores meet company facility standards within budget

* Select and negotiate and contract with effective vendors

* Positive feedback from customers (Operations Leaders and other departments)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Travels to stores (local and overnight travel) majority of time; must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and climb on roof approximately 40 feet high and lift up to 50 lbs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

* Minimum five years of facilities maintenance-related experience, preferably in the retail/hospitality environment

* Successful completion of annual store training

* Knowledge of all trades and of equipment components and costs associated with repair or replacement
