Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Java engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. Location: Dallas, TX or Remote or Various

Responsibilities

• Development in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, designing, developing and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems


• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code


• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications and deliver superior engineering outcomes


• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review


• Work in a team environments and mentor the junior team members


• Honing individual engineering competency using the available enablement programs


• Participate actively in talent acquisition


• Engage in team leadership and people management

Qualifications

• Associate should have 7+ hands on experience on Web Development technology on Java/J2EE, micro service, spring boot  and should have good communication skill.


• Associate should be enough to understand the existing Java/J2EE, Java Script, Web Codes and enhance the application based on the requirement.


• Associate having knowledge on Agile, SQL, Java, Kafka and J2EE will be added advantage.


• Associate should be working out of Pleasanton.


• Associate should coordinate with client SME, Onsite tech lead and offshore technical team including PST & IST TimeZone for development.


• Associate should attend the daily/weekly scrum call to provide the status update.


• Associate should be coordinating with client and sharing the same the details to offshore development.
