Agile Product Management - Senior Advisor - Express Scripts at Cigna

Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY:

Agile Product Owner will be responsible for owning the product backlog including communicating the customer requirements, defining user acceptance criteria for requirements, validating technology product data solutions, prioritizing and managing the product backlog, as well as collaborating with the Scrum team throughout the iterative software development life cycle.

Pharmacy API Services (PAS) team builds and manages services/APIs that are specific to pharmacy space. Primarily supports Accredo pharmacy through the technology & business transformation. The PAS team has joint accountability with entity platform team in terms of building pharmacy specific entities in collaboration with enterprise architecture and entity platform.

Acting as Agile Product Owner, the person will be accountable for managing Product backlog for the PAS Scrum teams who are building and supporting critical services/APIs for Care Central - Prescription Processing(RXP). The Product Owner will ensure the stakeholder's use cases are prioritized and executed in a way that maximizes business value and at the same time moves our products towards enterprise goal.

This role is WFH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Complete understanding of the product to be developed and take ownership of the product, design workflow charts, business models, proof of concepts, and architecture


  • Articulate the vision of an enterprise/entity platform while building the solutions


  • Seek out and engage partners for integration


  • Build and maintain the product catalog and details using Confluence


  • Monitor the product health, support planning and various other activities using tools like JIRA, JIRA Align, Confluence, Tableau.


  • Drive innovation proactively, identify and implement new ideas/technologies, which could substantially improve customer experience and/or create differentiation


  • Act as a liaison for the Agile Scrum Team and various stakeholders


  • Utilize agile tools and resources to manage and track work via JIRA


  • Collaborate with business and technical subject matter experts to understand needs, support design, test and deploy capabilities


  • Manage schedule, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies related to deliverables


  • Engage other business areas as needed to execute on end to end business requirements


  • Creates User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, ensuring stories clearly communicate customer/Stakeholder needs to the development team; work with team to clarify stories as necessary


  • Participates in and prepares for Program Increment Planning


  • Provide clarification on User Stories and Product Backlog to the team


  • Work with the delivery team to set and communicate release date and scope


  • Work with team members to ensure products are working in production


  • Responsible for final decisions on product functionality


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • MUST BE A CURRENT CONTRACTOR WITH CIGNA, EXPRESS SCRIPTS OR EVERNORTH. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna corporation.


  • 10-14 years relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree and 6-10 years of relevant experience.


  • 4-5 years of experience in Product Management/Product Owner


  • 4-5 year of experience with Healthcare Pharmacy space


  • Previous coding experience preferred but not necessary.


  • Experience working in technology or in close engagement on component preferred.


  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field.


  • Knowledge of user experience and solution design essential.


  • High degree of comfort in fast-paced dynamic / ambiguous environment.


  • Proven skill at balancing technical knowledge with business possibility and acumen.


  • Ability to work cross functionally with Compliance, IRM, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering.


  • Passionate member advocate with ability to identify and meet customer needs within agile framework.
