The Sales Coordinator/Assistant is a critical project management and interface role between, multiple departments within our organization, and our customers to ensure our current and potential future customer’s needs are exceeded. The Sales Coordinator/Assistant will typically be partnered with an Account Manager to support a defined sales and customer list.

The Sales Coordinator/Assistant is a customer liaison that will provide product and service information, as well as resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency. They will provide support to our customers, account manager and various departments within the organization to execute accurate order management including coordination of customer proposals and contract renewals with the estimating team; assist in notifying customers of routine price increases; addressing customer complaints per established departmental procedures; assisting in invoice quality, assist with the deployment of all customer information requirements including reports, order status, etc.  

What you will do:
•    Engage existing customer base both individually and in broad networking through regional tradeshows and campaigns
•    Build relationships with new customers and qualify associated opportunities 
•    Act as customer engagement prime for opportunities through implementation, to help proactively engage team members and escalate customer concerns 
•    Consult with customers regarding business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and benefits of each
•    Develop product knowledge to have meaningful conversations with customers
•    Demonstrate the product, where applicable.  Manage trials.  Draft and deliver simple proposals
•    Coordinate engagements with industry consultant engineering companies for the product roadmap and product information sessions
•    Work with the engineering team and product managers as required to address customer requirements
•    Report on sales activity, leveraging Salesforce for lead and opportunity development
•    Provide detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions 
•    Represent Ribbon and its brand in the marketplace in a positive manner
•    Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity

What do we require from you?

Required Skills:

•    High School Diploma Required Associates Degree Preferred
•    1+ years of technical sales experience Required
•    Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with the drive to succeed
•    Experience in prospecting (including cold calling) 
•    Team oriented 
•    Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to find creative solutions to complex issues
•    Demonstrated ability to drive a sense of urgency throughout the organization and to drive important initiatives to completion

Travel 
•    Up to 15% of the time

Skills
•    Technical Sales or Technical Marketing Experience
•    Salesforce Experience (not required but beneficial)
