The successful candidate will support engineering initiatives within the Access Engineering group (product development), with a focus on interventional cardiology devices and accessories. The role will demand hands on prototyping, testing, and assembly activities while focusing on continual improvement to the engineering lab.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead the fabrication of prototypes and pilot production of the next generation catheter assemblies

  • Support the development of new test methods.

  • Design and build test or assembly fixtures, documenting as necessary

  • Conduct feasibility and verification testing independently and under supervision of engineering peers

  • Analyze and report on test results, provide conclusions and recommendations.

  • Author test plans, protocols, and summary reports.

  • Comply with documentation requirements of design controls defined by ISO 13485.

  • Actively maintain storage of lab equipment and disposables for engineering team

  • Maintain lab equipment preventative maintenance and calibration, coordinating with the calibration group

Job Qualifications:


  • High School diploma required. AS in a technical field preferred.

  • 4-8 years of related experience. Medical device experience preferred.

  • Ability to Execute tasks in a timely manner under minimal supervision.

  • Able to prioritize tasks.

  • Computer literacy required, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite desired.

  • Proficiency with modeling and drawing with Solidworks preferred.

  • Familiarity and able to use basic machine ship equipment including band saw, drill press, grinding wheels, lathe, and 3-axis CNC mill preferred.
