J.P. Morgan Chase is seeking a talented individual for the position of Technical Product Architect
(Front-end technology) for our Ecosystem Platform & Co-Innovation Lab (EPIC Lab) in our Digital
Commercial Real Estate group. This role will have the tremendous opportunity to research,
prototype and define the front-end UX technology and integration framework across a portfolio
of home-grown and 3rd party SaaS and mobile products to create the next-generation digital
user experience for our customers. You are both hands-on and passionate about contributing to
the next evolution of web and mobile front-end technologies, with proven experiences of
making your UX framework scalable and maintainable operationally for mass adoption.
Key Responsibilities
● A strong technical leader able to guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers and
contractors, and deliver exceptionally high-quality software
● Self-starter, hands-on and have technical ability to build a quick concept prototype and
eventually turn it into production code.
● Collaborate with a multi-functional team of product managers, designers, and engineers
to design, implement and deliver high-quality services
● Design and develop complex, native mobile applications and implementation of those
backend APIs.
● Handle end-to-end development, including coding, testing, debugging and code reviews
● Help drive modernization efforts making use of current technologies and cloud-based
microservices where possible
● Help create a culture of innovation and continual improvement in the team's code,
architecture, and processes.
● Ability to learn new technologies quickly and have excellent communication skills to
navigate a complex environment
Qualifications
● 10+ years of experience in full-stack engineering and delivering scalable services
● Strong technical lead developer, architect, integration specialist experience in building
platforms
● Experience working with and managing globally distributed developers or contractors
● Outstanding communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills with the ability to
influence and drive development efforts on cross-geo teams
● Ability to traverse the full stack and understand a variety of libraries, platforms, and
multiple code modules
● Experience as a front-end architect with UI/UX design and web development. Expertise
in iOS or Android will be a strong plus.
● Experience as a backend / full stack microservice development
● Experience with modern build tools and languages like NodeJS, Python or Go. Familiarity
with other programming languages such as Java will be a plus.
● Hands-on experience with a public cloud platform, such as Google Cloud Platform,
Amazon's AWS or Microsoft Azure is a plus
● BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering, or other relevant disciplines
The final title and job grade is at the discretion of the firm and will be discussed at the time of
