Job Details

We're looking for an exceptional product manager to join the Platform Data Services team and lead our Virtual Data Adapters and our Big Objects teams. This includes responsibility for a suite of product capabilities : (Virtual Entity Framework, Big Objects, Async SOQL, and other core services) that provide our customers and internal Salesforce development teams with the features and tooling to easily and securely connect to, and work with, their external data stores, sources, and services using industry-standard protocols. In the role, you'll work closely with our customers, partners, and internal product development teams to understand their use cases and data integration challenges and to build new product capabilities and experiences to support their needs.

Responsibilities:


  • Define product vision and strategy and create detailed requirements. Build and maintain roadmaps and long range plans for one or more products and work with other product managers and stakeholders to deliver a unified vision across the broader product portfolio.

  • Manage the design, development, integration and release of product features used by customers and internal product development teams. Ensure ongoing reliability, performance, and scalability.

  • Inspire and collaborate with teams of architects, engineers, and doc writers to implement features.

  • Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal teams as well as customer-facing teams, ensuring that products satisfy customers' needs and are highly adopted.

  • Serve as a product evangelist with Marketing, Sales, Support, and more to help them understand the vision, roadmap and best practices.

  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of your products.

  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction.

  • Be the trusted advisor during customer interactions, events, and through social media.


Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to hold your own in debates with technical architects, engineers, and designers.

  • Ability to grasp and articulate the big picture, while still delivering on the details.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience managing teams using agile/scrum methodologies.

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience.

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

  • Working understanding of the Big Data space.

  • Experience working with non-relational data sources such as HBase and DynamoDB.

  • Familiarity with industry standard integration patterns such as REST, GraphQL, and OData.

  • Experience with SQL and SQL engines such as Presto.
