Description/Job Summary



RHD North Carolina Is hiring full-time and part-time Life Skills Professionals (LSP). The LSP assesses, plans, implements and evaluates daily living programs and routines for individuals we serve. The LSP conducts all program operations in accordance with RHD policy and the regulatory requirements of the NC DHHS. The LSP is responsible for ensuring the individual's health and safety is protected and that each individual participates to their fullest ability in activities of daily living.

There are positions available in the following program:
Varsity Crest (Semi-independent living)
Full Time openings:

Monday -Friday 8AM -4PM (40 hours total)

Monday - Friday 4PM-12AM (40 hours total)

Salary: $12.00/ hour

Responsibilities/Duties




  • Assist and support consumers in obtaining and maintaining life skills

  • Symptom management for and with consumers

  • Maintain cleanliness of the home

  • Report facility concerns to Supervisor

  • Provide and teach medication administration to residents

  • Planning and preparing meals

  • Assist consumers with working towards person centered treatment goals

  • Complete required program documentation

  • Provide therapeutic mentoring and symptom monitoring and management



Required Experience



1 year in human services field


Required Education



High School Diploma/GED required


Required Qualifications




  • Valid Driver's license required

  • Must pass criminal background check



Program Summary



RHD North Carolina (NC) provides residential and community based supports for people with diagnosis of developmental disabilities, mental illness and/or physical disabilities. The program(s) focuses on a person centered
planning approach, and much care is given to working with individuals to create homes and treatment to meet individual needs. The program(s) provide intensive support in the area of life skills, social skills, and community integration with an emphasis on having fun while pursuing personal goals.
