Garver is seeking entry level Process/Process Mechanical Engineers tojoin ourWater Design Center team in College Station, TX.The Process/Process Mechanical Engineer will be led by senior engineers focused on the production of design documents including reports, plans, sections, details and specifications on a range of water and wastewater treatment and related facilities projects. The Process/Process Mechanical Engineer must be capable of working closely within a multi discipline team to coordinate and collaborate on designs. Diversity in high-volume, custom treatment projects will allow this engineer the opportunity to be hands-on with design while working directly with senior level staff in collaborative team environment.

This position will be responsible for performing a wide array of design tasks related to water and wastewater facilities, such as:


  • Assist with the design of water and wastewater treatment processes

  • Assist in developing design criteria from analysis of water and wastewater treatment data

  • Support of water and wastewater process evaluation, selection, and implementation

  • Hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater treatment plants

  • Pump selection and pump station design

  • Chemical storage and feed system design

  • Blower sizing and blower system design

  • Mechanical equipment selection

  • Piping and instrumentation drawing production

  • Specification and Contract document preparation

  • Support of construction projects

  • Develop construction drawings, and 3D models

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.

  • Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or eligible to take the FE exam.

  • Strong communications skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.

Preferred Attributes:


  • Previous internship or full-time experience related to water/wastewater projects or site design

  • Master's degree in Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

  • Previous experience with process design, including detailed plans and specifications, for water and wastewater treatment plant improvements projects

  • Experience with Autodesk software to including AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Previous experience with plumbing, fire protection, life safety, and building mechanical systems typical to water and wastewater facilities designed for occupation.

  • Active participation in local professional organizations.
