SUMMARY
Promotes Prometheus' products and services to health care practitioners (HCPs), staff and all decision-makers related to the products' use. In this role you will play a key role in increasing company profitability and sales revenue through excellence in an informed, consultative approach to selling, customer service and conversion of product use. Customer engagement will be completed through a combination of remote communication means with high-value in-person customer call activity when identified as strong opportunity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Achieves key customer sales objectives and customer contact goals across assigned territory

  • Designs and implements a target customer communication productivity plan for assigned territory to ensure effective reach and frequency to targeted customers to maximize sales

  • Leverages outbound customer contact using multiple means (such as telephone, email, fax) to schedule and complete virtual sales presentations to target decision-makers

  • Educates HCPs and staff on the value of the company's products and services for patient care to convert and maintain them as consistent product prescribers

  • Uses company approved materials (literature, educational presentations, and product brochures, etc.) to educate, communicate and sell company products and services

  • Provides guidance around pricing and reimbursement for promoted products. Triages staff to appropriate company personnel when specific reimbursement questions arise

  • Collaborate with the Key Account Manager team to maximize territory performance and customer access to products through local institutions, labs and draw sites. Helps customers understand direct bill account logistics through in-servicing related to ordering, reporting and billing logistics processes

  • Prepares, maintains and submits up-to-date and accurate contact and productivity records to profile the account, measure progress against key sales and activity goals

  • Enters new customer data and update changes in the company customer database.

  • Represent the company at local, regional and national trade shows, conferences and exhibits to promote key products

  • Identifies and investigates customer concerns. Addresses and or communicates with appropriate company personnel to promptly solve customer problems

  • Handles inbound calls triaged from Client Customer Service group; identifies optimal solutions for customer needs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with an emphasis in the life sciences preferred; minimum 2 years sales experience in pharmaceutical, diagnostics and/or other related healthcare sales; or minimum 1 year related healthcare sales experience and 1 year experience in a life science discipline. Associate's degree in a science related program (nursing, etc.) may be considered if accompanied by 5+ years of other industry related experience (e.g. clinical research organization, medical science liaison, etc.).

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
High skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables surrounding the analysis of managed market strategies and contracting.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License with DMV evidence of good driving record. Must follow all applicable guidelines as set forth in the Company Fleet Management Program including annual DMV reviews.

Significant ground, air and overnight travel (up to 75% based upon business needs of the geography) is required.
