The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance & Reliability Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Provide support of mechanical systems including HVAC, building automation, industrial ventilation, process piping, plumbing systems and central utilities for 3M Center and processes.




• Manage Mobile Inspection software for maintenance work orders associated with preventative maintenance and LOTO




• Write and update LOTO procedures for maintenance equipment at 3M Center




• Use Data Analytics and continuous improvement methods to drive sustainability goals for site




• Develop and manage project timelines and budgets for assigned projects.




• Successfully interact with multiple discipline teams including 3M Center personnel, consultants, suppliers and vendors.




• Communicate effectively to project team, facility staff and project owners.




• Insure application of applicable codes, standards and internal guidelines

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Three (3) years of experience in mechanical system design to support industrial facilities and processes including HVAC, building automation systems, process piping, plumbing, and utility systems




• Proficient in use of project management skills for developing timelines, budgets and coordination of activities




• Proficient communication and documentation skills




• Proficient at using electronic tools for design, documentation and communication




• Team player with the ability to contribute in a matrix environment

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
