A Day in the Life
In this exciting role as a Senior Principal Technical Architect, you will be responsible for creating architecture that effectively supports the Quality System. The technical architect (TA) is responsible for leading technology strategy definition solution design and strategy execution. The TA is accountable for both ensuring that our current technical implementations are moving forward effectively and setting the future technical direction for their assigned functional and technical space. This role partners with Technology and Business leaders as well as Business Solution Architects, Technologists, and external service providers to ensure technologies align with stated architecture strategies and Medtronic's standards and delivery capabilities. This role mentors other Medtronic employees to develop architecture, structure strategic planning and subject matter expertise.
Leads initiatives and contributes to key deliverables including:
The Senior Principal Technical Architect is a key leader in the identification of risks & opportunities with technical landscape, identifying and researching emerging technologies while creating technology and/or platform strategies. This role also acts as a key leader and contributor in the technical community of practice activities (e.g., proposing and driving evolutions of templates, processes, and execution models).
