What is the role of a Technical Content Specialist role at Dassault Systemes?

The Technical Content Specialist thinks both creatively and analytically. Among other tasks, duties include editing and publishing technical content, collecting, analyzing, and presenting business data, working closely with global contributors to deliver high quality technical content and managing the creation and publication of content translations.

The chosen candidate should be comfortable with finding creative ways to build relationships with content contributors, encouraging external partners and customers to find and consume our content, and with using analytics in the formulation of content strategies.

Your skills and experience demonstrate the following abilities:


  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic work environment according to key deadlines and milestones.

  • Acquire a working knowledge of product offerings. Become certified in key company technologies.

  • Provide writing and editorial assistance for key company deliverables such guidance for contributors, knowledge base topics, best practices, e-Learning courses and others.

    • Proofread, edit, and standardize technical documents.

    • Perform quality assurance of editorial content. Verify content and information where possible.

    • Give feedback to contributors and advise authors on their work to ensure compliance with product/group standards.

    • Publish content to appropriate audiences.



  • Effectively communicate business information and work with managers to align priorities and resources.

  • Manage and monitor the technical review process for new and maintenance content. Report progress.

  • Manage the Localization process for technical support content, which includes identifying documents for translation or retranslation and corresponding with the translation vendor to obtain a quotation, answer translator queries and prepare translations for upload to the Content Management System.

  • Analyze content usage data and seek to increase content quality, reader engagement and retention.

  • Maintain a central repository of documents and information relative to the role to provide quick information to content contributors and managers.

  • Experience with web coding and authoring systems, such as HTML and XML

  • Manage time effectively to achieve goals and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities and with associates in different global regions

  • Able to work independently and within a collaborative team environment with minimal guidance/supervision

  • Knowledge of software for design engineers a plus

  • Fluency in a second language is a plus
