Shift D : 7:00pm - 7:00am Rotating Schedule
Pay Range: $19.85 - $24.15 - plus $2.00 Differential Pay

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Coater Operator ensures scheduled orders are completed in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Engineering, while keeping safety, quality and production at or above set standards in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift
* Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers
* Perform quality and standard checks
* Participate in die changes as scheduled
* Complete appropriate data sheets as required
* Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections
* Follow "Red Tag" procedures if required
* Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility
* Responsible for maintaining clean and organized work areas
* Maintain inventories needed for production run
* Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers
* Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process
* Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS
* High degree of manual dexterity
* Ability to work as a team member
* Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters
* Knowledge of production schedules
* Basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry
* Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and specifications with great attention to detail
* May be required to obtain a tow-motor license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

* Continuous positioning and lifting 25 - 60 pounds
* Ability to lift, bend, & stoop when required and stand for extended periods
* Occasional heavy lifting up to 100 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The environment is typical of a manufacturing production atmosphere.

* High noise levels in certain parts of the plant
* Extreme heat during summer months
* Required PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
