High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school, is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.


Experience supporting data and HR process in a fast-paced environment.


General knowledge of human resources policy and practice.


Basic knowledge of state & Federal laws ideal.


Previous experience with HR Information Systems desirable.

Job Description

SUMMARY


Coordinates and performs a variety of operational and data maintenance duties to support the Human Resources data maintenance at Connecticut Children's. Activities include, but are not limited to, data entry, maintaining data integrity, process/workflow actions, administration using various HRIS systems and applications. Understand system integrations and downstream effect of maintenance/changes, manage timing and communication of changes to involved areas (payroll, etc.).


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES



Data Integrity



  • Monitor exception reports and correct data synchronization issues.

  • Provide education to HR Team Members on errors and trends.



Workflow Processing



  • Review requests for new positions, escalate to Compensation Analyst and create new jobs and positions as appropriate.

  • Act as final approver for all employee related changes including rehire and status changes including some promotions and off cycle pay rate changes as needed. Changes are submitted via ESC Form and/or the Portal

  • Respond to act on queries from employees and managers

  • Evaluate job changes for resources having multiple work assignments.

  • Act as a liaison between the HR Systems and other HR functions and the Information Technology team.



General Data Entry and Maintenance



  • Respond to and act on queries from employees and managers

  • Maintain supervisory structure in HRIS systems.

  • Review request for new positions and create as needed

  • Process electronic, email and paper-based change requests.

  • Interface with other departments in problem resolution related to employee-level changes

  • Participate in testing of system patches and upgrades.

  • Responsible for the integrity/accuracy of employee data

  • Special projects as assigned.
