The Substance Use Prevention, Evaluation, and Research Program within the Center for Behavioral Health Epidemiology, Implementation, and Evaluation Research at RTI International has an immediate opening for an applied Substance Use Prevention Research Public Health Analyst. We expect this individual to help develop and lead new and ongoing projects focused on the substance use and misuse of alcohol, marijuana, opioids, stimulants, and other emerging substances. Areas of related potential methodological specialization include the use of epidemiological data for needs assessment and prevention decision making; innovative data collection and analysis for process and outcome program evaluation; and the novel use of communication to disseminate research findings and intervention strategies.
The position will include a broad range of responsibilities in task/project leadership, business development, and research/evaluation. The position requires a background or training in public health or a relevant area of behavioral health and substantial research/evaluation experience in substance use prevention, as well as attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to function both independently and in teams.
This position can be located at our headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC or regional offices in Washington, DC, Atlanta, GA, or Berkeley, CA.
