Job Description:

Job Summary:
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments; works independently on most day-to-day work. Applies knowledge of the job to complete routine and non-routine assignments; good understanding of the technical aspects of the job. Shares routine and non-routine information to identify needs and provide data; contact extends outside functional area. Responsible for performing a variety of operational tasks and coordinating information among various operational areas and customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Receives, logs, batches, reviews, and distributes incoming work, contacting appropriate resources as needed.

Keys transactions, verifies accuracy, and performs routine math calculations to balance general ledger accounts.

Prepares, edits, distributes, and/or corrects specialized and/or complex documents.

Processes customer accounts for service initiation, maintenance and termination, including making adjustments to customer accounts.

Handles customer inquiries by telephone and/or e-mail in a service center and resolves customer issues using multiple resources and records.

Ensures that responses to customer inquiries are completed on a timely basis and handled fairly and effectively to achieve service and quality standards.

Monitors laws and regulations to ensure compliance; establishes policies and procedures, in accordance with the consumer laws, to provide necessary customer service and promote good customer relations.

Takes responsibility for customer activities relating to sales, sales promotion, installation of service and customer communications.

Acts as escalation point for less senior processors for complex issues or transactions, providing training as needed.

Acts as a team leader in answering questions and resolving problems for employees and ensuring quality work is completed efficiently.

Develops organization wide initiatives to proactively inform and educate customers and develops improvement plans in response to customer surveys.

Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of job related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Previous customer service experience within the financial services industry

Ability to accurately multi-task in fast paced, production environment

Attention to detail

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Experience with CMSE, CASE System, Purchase Perks Customer Service portal, Metavante and Synergy.
