The Opportunity:



Responsibilities:



  • Testing PC platform and sub-systems, triaging, filing bugs.

  • Taking ownership of bugs and following them to closure.

  • Enabling new features on Platform and OS.

  • Working closely with clients and completing tasks independently.

  • Write project and process documents.

  • The responsibilities may change based on requirement and/or skillset attained on the job and should be ready to move between projects.



Skillset Required:



  • 2-4 Years of experience in Platform Validation

  • Understanding of PC Platform and mother board architecture.

  • Knowledge of computer peripherals and motherboard components (PCIe, USB, USB-C, TBT, SATA, PCH, ICH, BIOS, UEFI, RAM, CPU, GPU)

  • Good understanding of different power states of system and devices (ACPI - S-states, C-states, D-states)

  • Good understanding of various subsystems like Multimedia, communications, sensors etc.

  • Good understanding of Windows OS and it's features

  • Able to triage Platform/ ingredient/ OS issues.

  • Understanding of bug life cycle and any bug management tool like Jira, HSD, VSO, etc.

  • Good to have experience of automating tests using Python / PowerShell / C#.

  • Able to lift 25 to 40 lbs of weight (mainly required to move systems and monitors).
