The Activity Insight Team is responsible for timely gathering, recording, analyzing, synthesizing, reporting and validating faculty data for faculty in the SC Johnson College of Business primarily using the Activity Insight tool along with other related databases and data repositories. Activity Insight (now known as Faculty Success by Watermark) is a web-based academic data collection and reporting tool used by over 2,000 colleges and schools worldwide. Activity Insight helps to leverage faculty teaching, research and service information by capturing faculty activity data in a granular and flexible fashion to fulfill various information needs.

This Position:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Data Entry Assistant to work with us on a temporary basis approximately from November 2021 until March 2022. The Data Entry Assistant will be responsible for:


  • Entering precisely and accurately all the critical data from faculty annual review self-reports (ARSRs) in to Activity Insight.

  • Ensuring that all data input be processed in a timely manner and completed by the designated deadlines.

  • Assist with other data validation and cleanup tasks as time allows.

  • Maintaining confidentiality with data input.

This is a part-time non-benefits eligible position working on a temporary basis for less than 6 months. The incumbent in this role will be scheduled for 20 hours per week. No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance is available for this position.

Required Qualifications:


  • Formal training beyond a HS diploma of 1-2 years, 2 year's college coursework, or Associate's degree.

  • Technical/vocational school degree; and/or 4-6 years related experience.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion and integrity.

  • Ability to follow moderately complex processes carefully and accurately.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Must be able to work independently while supporting the efforts of an overall team while fostering a respectful work environment.

  • Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure, use sound judgment in accomplishing tasks that are urgent; balance conflicting priorities, and make decisions from a wide range of choices.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
