The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Collison Customer Sales Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Leading sales efforts across all 3M brands/products into the collision repair segment of the US Automotive Aftermarket Division

  • Implement sales programs, agreements and policies as agreed upon with direct supervisor

  • Determine priorities, frequencies, and call patterns to be most effective and productive

  • Support corporate headquarter (HQ), regional programs and initiatives

  • Create business plans for end users and solutions to everyday problems.  Track all activities in Salesforce.com

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree of higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution with one (1) year of sales and/or Automotive Aftermarket industry experience

OR

  • High School Diploma (completed and verified prior to start) with two (2) years of sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

  • Current, valid Driver’s License

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Financial acumen

  • Technical expertise, automotive aftermarket, or collision repair industry knowledge

  • Relationship builder with a competitive nature

  • Well organized, self-starter with time management skills

  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool

Location: Chicago, IL

Territory: Responsible for a territory covering 10-12 counties in Northern Illinois

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Additional Requirements: In this role, you may be required to enter healthcare or other third-party facilities.
