Title: Floor Nurse- LPN,LVN, RN
FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
Shift: Full-Time
Job Summary:
Working with other healthcare professionals to help care and treat residents
Be able to communicate efficiently to LPNs, Director of Nursing or Director of Memory Care about patient needs, medication, vital signs, etc.
Observe and record patient behavior
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
Collect patient health history
Counsel and educate patients and their families on care/treatment plans
Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for other treatment options
Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate
Consult with Director of Nursing or Memory Care to decide on the best treatment/care plan for patients
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, gerontology, recreational therapy or social services preferred
Minimum of three years of experience of senior living
A minimum of an associate degree
State License is required
LPN/RN required
Knowledge of dementia care
Experience working with an electronic health record system
Exceptional organization skills a must
Exceptional communication skills
Compassion and patience is a must
