$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS


The Behavior Analyst provides services to referred Hope support recipients through their work in the application of behavioral analysis and Positive Behavioral Supports programs. This position ensures the team develops and implements appropriate individualized formal and informal behavioral support strategies for each referred support recipient. The Behavior Analyst implements behavioral intervention and support processes and interaction guidelines, and provides ongoing training for the team and works with each support recipient on an as needed basis. This position provides prescribed Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Autism Services to referred Hope support recipients. This includes the assessment, design and implementation of ABA treatment plans, conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Health Technicians (BHTs) in the implementation of ABA services. This position also assists in the creation and development of Agency-wide curriculum and specific behavioral programs. The Behavior Analyst maintains loyalty to the organization, its beliefs, values, mission, vision, and expectations, and to the recipients of services.


 


Essential Job Duties


1. Receives and screens referrals for appropriateness of assignment to behavioral supports team. Provides information and resources for referrals that may be better served by other service providers, either internal or external to Hope.


2. Collaborates with families and other team members to develop and implement behavioral intervention plans and teaching strategies, starting with the least restrictive intervention. Assists in the facilitation of team and family meetings for review and planning as needed.


3. Trains team members on intervention approaches for each support recipient and implements Positive Behavior Supports and intervention programs, which may include hands-on involvement.


4. Conducts initial and updated assessments and treatment plans for assigned Hope support recipients that have been prescribed Autism services and implements these prescribed services both directly and through the direct supervision of BHTs functioning in their role as RBTs when implementing billed Autism Services.


5. Ensures and oversees implementation of the treatment plan and ensures that all needed documentation is completed, including daily billing notes by this person and/or the BHT or RBT.


6. Supervises, develops, evaluates, counsels, and disciplines BHT and RBT staff through teaching, coaching and mentoring. Collaborates in all aspects of onboarding personnel to fulfill department requirements.


7. Maintains documentation of provided supervision and number of hours that assigned BHTs and RBTs have worked in the delivery of Autism Services. Conducts competency assessments annually to meet requirements of State of Alaska Autism Service Medicaid provisions.


8. Reviews and analyzes data on a regular basis, monitors program implementation, and makes revisions to interventions and programs as necessary.


9. Ensures that each support recipient with a psychiatric condition is receiving, or is referred to receive, appropriate mental health services, when the support recipient possesses sufficient functional abilities to participate in mental health treatment.
