$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS


 


This Relief Direct Support Professional (RDSP) involves supporting and assisting individuals who experience developmental and physical disabilities with daily living skills. This position relieves the regular full-time, live-in staff every other weekend. The usual schedule is Friday 6pm - 10pm, Saturday 6am - 10pm and Sunday 6am - 10pm, including staying overnight on Friday and Saturday. The rate of pay is $15.08 to $17.35 DOE per hour for regular time (first 8 hours each day) and $22.62 - $26.02 per hour DOE for overtime, which approximately equates to $663 - $763 per weekend DOE. Depending on Agency need, this position may be every other weekend or every weekend. Additionally, employees need their own transportation to and from their work venue. Individuals receiving supports are often dependent on employees for transportation needs.


This position provides relief to the regular full-time live in staff of our assisted living homes, either every weekend or every other.


 


Essential Job Duties


1. Provides oversight of the home when the HAC has days off.


2. Ensures completion of shift tasks by direct support employees. Reports issues to the HAC for follow-up. Shares all pertinent information with the HAC before taking time off.


3. Ensures wholesome meal preparation, focusing on individual dietary needs and healthy personal and cultural preferences.


4. Ensures appropriate cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of physical site (home and grounds) and home vehicle.


5. Provides personal care and support services required for each support recipient, including, but not limited to, activities of daily living and community activities. Ensures each individual participates safely in a wide range of age-appropriate activities. Ensures goals and objectives are being worked on as outlined in the Plan of Care and/or support plan.


6. Provides transportation to meet support recipients’ schedules, including public transportation and rides to work, appointments, and activities.


7. Implements and executes staff, support recipient, and transportation schedules as outlined by the HAC.


8. Monitors support recipients’ health and ensures each support recipient follows medical orders and medication instructions, under the direction of the support recipient’s physician and/or Hope nursing staff. Accompanies and participates in medical appointments as necessary. Accesses emergency services as needed.


9. Completes and processes Agency documentation within required timeframes, including the timely submission of all maintenance requests, vehicle safety checklists and accident reports, monthly home reports, and incident reports.
